Job summary

Financial Additions is seeking an Accountant in Carrollton, Texas, to join our hybrid work environment on a contract-to-hire basis. The role focuses on preparing financial statements and supporting external reporting, audits, and closing activities.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of staff-level accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP). ERP software experience is required.

Qualifications

Financial Additions has a great contract-to-hire opportunity for a degreed and experienced staff accountant. This is a hybrid role located near Carrollton, Texas.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare financial statements and assist with external reporting and audits
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research variances
• Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and analyses
• Perform variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Qualifications include:

• 2-3 years in a staff-level accounting position (with JE, GL, reconciliation, and analysis duties, etc.)
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Stong Excel skills (must know PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP)
• Experience with ERP or accounting software
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
