BanMe Media, a growing digital advertising and media company in Boston, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support finance operations and work closely with company leadership to maintain accurate records and timely reporting.

The role covers reconciliations, month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, client billing, and tax support, with opportunities to automate workflows and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or related field required or preferred.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online essential.
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

BanMe Media is a growing digital advertising and media company specializing in programmatic advertising, connected TV (CTV), digital out-of-home (DOOH), display, and audio advertising. We partner with agencies and brands to deliver innovative, data-driven advertising solutions.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our growing finance and accounting operations. This person will work closely with company leadership to maintain accurate financial records, improve processes, and ensure timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries in QuickBooks Online.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, and payment schedules.
• Prepare client invoices and credit memos, monitor accounts receivable, and assist with collections.
• Reconcile client accounts and investigate billing discrepancies.
• Assist with cash flow tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
• Calculate and reconcile sales commissions in accordance with company agreements.
• Support tax preparation and external accounting requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and automate recurring tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a digital advertising agency, marketing agency, or other service-based business.
• Experience with client billing, sales commissions, and credit memos.
• Familiarity with Gusto, Zoho Expenses, or similar accounting and payroll systems.
