Job summary

Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and compile regulatory data, with monthly provider RVU reports and support for audits.

The position is full-time with standard Monday–Friday hours. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including IPERS and health, dental and vision plans, plus additional retirement and wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or business.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
• Maintain departmental reports and records and collect data for regulatory purposes and financial surveys.
• Prepare monthly provider RVU compensation reports.
• Assist with information gathering for annual audit and cost report.

Monday-Friday 8-4:30 (hours are flexible)

Responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliation of various accounts on a monthly basis; maintaining departmental reports and records and collecting statistical data for regulatory purposes and financial surveys; preparation of monthly provider RVU compensation reports; assists with information gathering for annual audit and cost report
