Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 4+ years progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting ability.
  • ERP systems experience and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights for decisions.
  • Assist budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Manage fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.

Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is looking to expand their responsibilities and advance into leadership, Accounting Manager, or Controller-level roles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a proactive mindset, and a desire to contribute to process improvements and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Manage fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
  • Assist in mentoring junior accounting staff and take on increasing leadership responsibilities as the company grows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • CPA designation or CPA track preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a mid-sized company or fast-growing organization.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience leading projects, process improvements, or mentoring staff.
  • ERP experience such as NetSuite, Sage, MS Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Advanced Excel Skills
