Job description

Electric Hospitality is the team behind Muchacho, Ladybird, Tiger Sun, Ranger Station, and Electric Events — design-forward spaces where great food, great drinks, and great people come together.

Three values drive everything we do: Creativity, Connectivity, and Positive Energy

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on accounting role with real scope. You'll be doing the foundational work — processing invoices, booking journal entries, reconciling accounts — while also having a genuine seat at the table as we build out a high-functioning finance and accounting department.

You'll partner with teammates across the company to establish and maintain best practices, own daily and weekly accuracy across our books, and take initiative when things need to get done. The role is as big as you make it, with meaningful room to grow alongside a company that's expanding quickly.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • General Accounting — Serve as the go-to accounting resource for Electric Hospitality — accurate, timely, and proactive
  • Accounts Payable — Manage the AP inbox, ensure accurate and timely invoice entry, reconcile key vendor accounts, and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications
  • Bank Feed — Maintain QuickBooks bank and credit card feeds daily and weekly, ensuring accurate matching and payment application
  • Credit Cards — Monitor limits, review spend, and ensure all transactions are coded on time with proper supporting documentation
  • Weekly Journal Entries — Perform allocations, debt, inventory, and adjustment entries to support accurate weekly reporting
  • Weekly GL Review — Review the general ledger weekly to ensure appropriate coding by legal entity
  • Month-End Close — Execute monthly close journal entries, account reconciliations, and reviews
  • Reporting — Support daily and weekly dashboarding and own the generation of accurate weekly scorecards
  • Budget & FP&A — Support budget and forecast exercises, and contribute to ongoing reporting and analysis
  • Tax & Compliance — Assist with monthly and annual tax and compliance filings, as needed
  • Systems — Become a power user across our core platforms: QuickBooks, Margin Edge, Ramp, Rippling, Toast, Syft, Uncat, and others
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2–8 years of accounting experience
  • Strong systems skills — QuickBooks experience preferred; AI tool familiarity a plus
  • Multi-entity, multi-unit, and food & beverage experience preferred
  • Solid general accounting foundation with sharp attention to detail
  • Strong communicator — comfortable working cross-functionally and following up without being asked
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

You’ll be joining a growing, multi-brand hospitality group at a genuinely exciting moment. The finance function is being built the right way, and the person in this role will have a direct hand in shaping the systems, processes, and standards that scale with us.

The environment is relaxed but results-oriented. Our culture is grounded in our core values — creativity, connectivity, and positive energy — and we work hard to actually live them. If that sounds like the kind of place where you do your best work, we’d love to hear from you.
