Xavier University seeks an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Accountancy and Business Law to teach both undergraduate and master’s courses in live and online formats. The position is non-tenure track and renewable annually, with potential promotion after six years.

The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced accounting topics and serve as a faculty advisor, contributing to Jesuit mission, scholarly engagement, and departmental service.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in accounting coursework.
• Strong evidence of teaching effectiveness.
• Professional work experience in accounting or related field.
• CPA or similar certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to engage diverse student groups.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and master’s programs (MBA/MS in Accountancy) in live and online formats.
• Teach introductory and advanced accounting courses (financial, managerial, tax, AIS, etc.).
• Serve as faculty advisor for Accounting Society.
• Contribute to department and university service and professional development.
• Maintain currency in discipline through scholarly or professional activity.
