Pharmaceutical Sales Rep (Entry Level and/or Specialty)

As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will manage your territory to maintain existing physician groups, clinics, and primary care offices. You will work closely with management and team members to achieve sales goals, providing quality consultative service and coordinating outside alliances and internal resources to meet customer needs.

Major Responsibilities of a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep:

Manage territory accounts, identify key decision makers, and inform influential physicians about pharmaceutical and medical products. Balance time effectively to meet sales targets, stay updated on skills and product knowledge, and develop strategies to compete and succeed in the healthcare marketplace.

Key Duties:

  • Build positive relationships and penetrate large accounts by identifying decision makers.
  • Develop a creative approach to expanding the customer base.
  • Create a territory plan with goals and resource allocation.
  • Gain formulary acceptance and compliance with managed care accounts.
  • Partner with customers proactively, stay informed on trends, and develop account business plans.
  • Use consultative skills to assist customers with their business needs.
  • Market and sell vertical products.
