Key Responsibilities
  • Focused on business success from the technology standpoint by managing install base and new product application performance to drive customer satisfaction and identify business risks.
  • Manage definition and implementation of processes and applications to meet current and future customer requirements for productivity and leading‑edge technology.
  • As customer technology expert for at least one class of processes, guide technology development and transfer; integrate customer technology requirements into the internal product roadmap.
  • Resolve complex field process issues utilizing systematic troubleshooting methodology; create a mechanism to communicate issues and track progress.
  • Use statistical techniques such as DOEs to determine root cause and action plans; communicate learnings to the rest of the world to strengthen product packages.
  • Responsible for customer demos, including defining demo conditions, wafer processing, and analyzing results.
  • Assist account teams in managing customer accounts to enhance satisfaction and increase AMAT’s product and technical reputation.
  • Work with business unit in technology development and transfer to customers, including customized process development; plan unit process sequence based on customer requirements; negotiate process specifications with customers; deliver solution meeting specification.
  • Lead positioning of new technologies to customers using technical information from divisions; form strategic partnerships to evaluate emerging technologies and oversee joint development or beta‑site testing; deliver management‑level presentations.
  • Participate in defining product strategy, identifying gaps; provide feedback on process and hardware improvements to meet customer roadmap requirements.
  • Keep abreast of new developments that directly impact unit processes; publish in conferences and journals.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
