Job description

As a Fact & Fiction Account Supervisor, you're a proactive problem-solver and advocate for our clients' business who builds relationships and owns outcomes. You'll lead our organic social partnership with a portfolio of well-loved CPG food brands, each with its own audience, voice, and priorities. You understand that for CPG brands, organic social is where fans are kept and brands earn their place in culture, and you can run it across several brands at once.

You'll serve as an extension of the client's marketing team, collaborating with their internal team and partner agencies as part of an integrated agency team. Internally, you'll work with our strategy, creative, social, and production teams to deliver work that's on strategy, on time, and on budget. You lead with initiative and empathy, balance what's best for the client with what's best for the work and take pride in the impact we make together. At Fact & Fiction, you'll work with talented people who give a damn.

This role is open to exceptional remote candidates, with preference for those within commuting distance of our Kansas City or Niwot (Boulder area) offices. Local team members work in person two days per week; remote team members join in person for key meetings, shoots, and team moments.

Can do this

  • Serve as the single point of contact for a multi-brand CPG portfolio, building relationships with senior client leaders and F&F leadership
  • Lead regular client status meetings, setting agendas and delivering same-day recaps with clear action steps, owners, and timing
  • Partner with strategy to develop and sell through organic social strategies for each brand, including priority channels, posting cadence, content mix, and KPIs
  • Oversee a high-volume content program of agency-produced video and static, creator-developed, and UGC content, batched quarterly and built natively for each platform
  • Manage the production budget against content volume across shoots, creator fees, and production costs
  • Support product planning for content, helping make sure limited-time or unreleased product from the client arrives on time
  • Partner with the team on content calendars across brands and platforms, helping keep briefs, approvals, revisions, and posting on track
  • Stay close to community management, supporting the team on escalations and keeping clients informed on what fans are saying
  • Bring social listening insights and cultural trends into client conversations and planning
  • Contribute to monthly reporting for each brand and help present performance, creative learnings, and recommendations to clients
  • Partner with the client's media agency on when and how to boost organic content
  • Represent organic social within the integrated agency team on major brand moments like anniversaries, promotional periods, and experiential programs
  • Draft and manage scope documents, holding clear lines on platforms, revision rounds, and community management hours, and handling change orders directly with clients
  • Prepare billing and monthly financial projections with your manager and own budget reconciliation
  • Identify growth opportunities across the portfolio, such as new platforms, formats, or brands, and present proposals
  • Navigate ambiguity with composure. Make decisions, resolve conflicts, and bring solutions, especially when a client is facing a social issue, a delayed shipment, or a launch under pressure
  • Mentor and guide direct reports, anticipating next steps to keep the team ahead
  • Enforce version control, organized file management, and rigorous quality standards. You are the first and last line of defense on deliverables

Must haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years of advertising experience with a track record of managing client relationships and growing accounts
  • Agency or brand-side CPG experience, ideally food and beverage
  • Organic social experience, including familiarity with content calendars, community management, and performance reporting
  • Experience managing multiple brands at once, each with its own stakeholders and priorities
  • Content and production experience, including high-volume social content
  • Based near Kansas City or Niwot in the Boulder area (preferred) for a hybrid schedule, or able to work remotely with periodic travel to our offices
  • Willingness to travel (up to 15%)
  • A strong work ethic, a bias toward action, and the ability to adapt to how different teammates and clients work

What sets you apart

  • Experience working within an integrated agency team
  • Experience onboarding a new social client and getting a content engine running quickly
  • Fluency in social listening and analytics tools (Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Brandwatch, native platform insights, or similar)
  • Experience producing creator and UGC content within a production budget
  • Familiarity with CPG social moments like seasonal cooking, product launches, and limited-time offers
  • Strong presentation skills and the confidence to bring a clear, outcome-based point of view
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Monday, Basecamp, or similar)
  • The ability to give and receive feedback with empathy and directness
  • Genuine curiosity about food, culture, and what makes people stop scrolling
  • A connector mindset. You pull the right people into the room and rally teams around great work

What we give you

  • Interesting clients, from Fortune 500 CPG brands to fast-growing startups
  • Generous holidays, including the week off between Christmas and New Year
  • Flex PTO
  • 100% company-paid health, dental, and vision
  • Matching 401(k)
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Life insurance
  • A collaborative, no-ego culture where people have each other's backs
