Veros Credit is seeking an Account Servicing Specialist to manage 30-60 day delinquent auto loan accounts from our Santa Ana, CA and Ontario, CA offices, with remote options for AZ/NV. The role involves documenting collection activities and working within FDCPA guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in collections, strong negotiation skills, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Flexible schedule and growth opportunities are available within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the collections field, preferably in subprime consumer lending.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.
• Professional interaction with customers, tactful and respectful.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies, FDCPA, and applicable laws.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and suggest strategies for borrowers to meet obligations.
• Assist borrowers in devising a plan to keep their vehicle while meeting loan commitments.
• Accurately document account information and collection activities.
• Use skip tracing tools to locate delinquent borrowers.

About The Position

The Account Servicing Specialist (30 Days) will be responsible for servicing auto loan accounts that are 30-60 days delinquent and documenting all collection activities utilizing loan servicing software.

In-Office position in Santa Ana, CA, Ontario, CA, and Fort Worth, TX. Remote position available for Arizona and Nevada.

Essential Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).


• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers, including offering suggestions as to how they can meet their obligations, propose alternative payment methods, and establish payment procedures.


• Assist borrowers in devising a strategy to allow them to keep their vehicle while meeting the obligations of the loan.


• Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities.


• Utilize skip tracing tools and reference sources to identify and locate delinquent borrowers.


• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ year(s) of experience in the collections field, preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry.


• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.


• Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team.


• Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.


• High School Diploma or GED.


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Salary

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour + Bonus
