Account Service Representative (Personal Banker)

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking an Account Service Representative (Personal Banker) to assist with daily retail operations at the Blankenbaker Office, Louisville, KY. Candidates should possess excellent service skills, professionalism, confidentiality, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities. Prior credit union or financial experience is preferred. Availability for rotating Saturday shifts is required. An initial 6-8 week paid training in Evansville, IN, will be provided, with travel expenses covered. To apply, click 'Apply'.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Serve as a primary Account Service Representative (Personal Banker):
   • Meet with members to assess banking needs and recommend accounts.
   • Assist with enrollment in credit union products and services.
   • Maintain knowledge of account types, services, policies, and procedures.
   • Ensure accurate completion of account documentation.
   • Strive to meet cross-sell goals.
   • Assist with certificates, IRA, and HSA accounts.
   • Serve as Notary Public and Signature Guarantee for transactions.
   • Open and close safe deposit boxes.
   • Maintain knowledge of the credit union’s core processing system.
2. Serve as a Consumer Loan Processor:
   • Meet with members to determine lending needs and recommend loan types.
   • Maintain knowledge of lending products, policies, and procedures.
   • Identify and recommend additional products.
   • Ensure accurate completion of lending documents.
   • Follow up with members regarding lending needs.
   • Support branch lending goals.
3. Serve as back-up Teller/MSR:
   • Perform member transactions like deposits, withdrawals, loan payments.
   • Ensure transactions are posted accurately.
   • Assist in balancing cash machines and maintaining cash drawer balance.
   • Answer member inquiries via phone.
   • Support branch goals and initiatives.
4. Assist with office opening/closing on a rotating basis.
5. Serve as Saturday manager or in other assigned roles.
6. Support record-keeping for employee absences and training.
7. Develop knowledge of data and word processing systems.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• HS diploma or GED, at least 18 years old.
• Flexible schedule with ability to travel between locations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• 1-2 years cash handling experience; banking experience preferred.
