Job summary

This role is responsible for prospecting new accounts and growing existing customer accounts that are not actively managed. This is a proactive sales role requiring this person to cold call potential new customers and regularly contact existing customers through phone calls and other communication methods. This will include engaging with the customer in a friendly and polite manner, assessing the customer’s needs, answering customer questions, and being knowledgeable of Kendall’s products and services.Exciting work you will do:The essential duties and responsibilities of the Account Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Reach out to potential customers and house accounts to sell Galloup products using various forms of communication, including phone calls, email, etc.Close sales, provide exceptional customer service, and become an intricate component of our progressive team environmentOwn and develop opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accountsIncrease orders by suggesting related items or alternate products, explaining features and benefits, and checking customer buying historyManage estimation of quotes; answer questions about products, credit terms, warranties, and delivery expectationsActively manage pricing for customersWork cross-functionally with marketing and product expert teams to provide customers with relevant marketing material and supportAct as a liaison between various Kendall resources to ensure timely resolution of all account issues, including but not limited to project delays, warranty issues, and repair issuesKeep CRM system up to date with account, contact, and opportunity pipeline informationRespond to incoming calls, faxes, and email messages from internal and external customers promptlyStay knowledgeable on current, new, and evolving product offeringsMaintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standardsPerform other duties as assignedCompetencies you possess:Service ExcellenceResults, Action OrientedAccountability and ResponsibilityUnderstanding Others, ListeningProblem SolvingTeamwork and collaborationPriority SettingWhat you’ll need:Work Experience: 3 years’ of sales, customer service or similar relevant business experienceRequired Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of skills and experienceAnalytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office; Ability to learn new software; Ability to decide which products to focus on and how best to reach customersOrganization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving environmentCross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer serviceCommunication Skills: Strong interpersonal communications, problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
