Job Summary

Account Operations Specialist II – individual contributor, management level, flexible work option with no remote availability. Must work at a specified Cox Automotive location. The role involves 70% outside work and 30% in‑office administrative duties, with daily exposure to outdoor elements such as extreme heat and cold.

Compensation

Hourly base pay: $22.07 – $33.13 per hour. Compensation may also include commission and incentive programs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary point of contact for resolving client issues across simple to complex accounts and collaborate with auction teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries related to vehicle condition and discrepancies, fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate vehicle‑run processes and maintain direct communication with other auction departments to ensure proper inventory movement, reconditioning services, and timely completion.
  • Build positive relationships with assigned clients, examine vehicles in the sales lineup, and ensure standards and quality.
  • Complete estimates for reconditioning services, coordinate and approve them, and conduct condition report and imaging audits to reduce risk of policy loss and goodwill expenses.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of condition‑report data and the vehicle‑inspection process, identifying previous paint, auto‑body repairs, frame damage, PDR, etc.
  • Act as a liaison and educator for clients on auction processes and recommend/manheim/CAI products and services to meet client needs.
  • Prioritize work, maintain professionalism, and resolve client issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate redemptions, ensure proper documentation, and comply with all PII policies and procedures while delivering customer service.
  • Adhere to Cox standards and guidelines for reconditioning services, maintaining consistent quality and accuracy per client SLA.
  • Apply NAAA guidelines to ensure proper placement of vehicle announcements and brands.
  • Use Microsoft Office and internal business platforms efficiently.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following safety and health procedures and actively participating in safety activities.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination such as a degree/certification beyond high school plus 5 years of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Prior experience with vehicle reconditioning or general auto‑body knowledge.
  • Self‑starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong team‑based interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical and mental ability to carry out the duties within required timeframes.
Work Environment

Exposure to outdoor elements including extreme heat and cold, moderate noise, and hazards such as sharp metal, broken glass, and hazardous or caustic chemicals.

Drug Testing

Applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug test. The position does not require testing for marijuana; however, possession, use, or being under the influence of illegal drugs during work hours, on company property, or in company vehicles is prohibited.
