Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Houston to support freight and 3PL operations. You will manage customer accounts, coordinate domestic ground shipments (FTL/LTL/intermodal), and use TMS systems to reconcile orders with internal processes.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of experience in logistics, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle high-volume queues with attention to detail. A comprehensive benefits package is offered as part of the Randstad USA program.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
• Experience: 2–4 years in freight/3PL account coordination or transportation operations.
• Logistics Knowledge: Solid understanding of domestic ground modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal) and full shipment lifecycles.
• Systems: Experience with TMS platforms (e2open TMF, Descartes Aljex preferred); proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and Teams.
• Operations: Reading load boards, applying consolidation decision trees, and managing customer relationships calmly under pressure.
• Communication: Clear written communication for summarizing exceptions and escalating issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Experience supporting a high-value or security-sensitive customer program with prescriptive SOPs and defined escalation paths.
• Experience working from a customer order platform or portal and reconciling it against an internal TMS.
• Familiarity with appointment scheduling and dock management tools.
• Understanding of cross-border documentation requirements and specialized handling.
• Comfort distinguishing a one-off exception from a systemic gap, and the judgment to route each to the right place.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability across a high-volume request queue.

• Setting: Fast-paced control tower/operations center driving continuous shipment flow.
• Schedule & Handover: Aligned to customer hours with availability for critical escalations; relies on structured shift handovers.
• Metrics: Evaluated on intake accuracy, response speed, and data quality.
