Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking an Account Officer I to manage a portfolio of Agency, IRA, and Custody accounts with a multi‑million dollar book. You will support onboarding, funding, and servicing while ensuring compliance and risk controls are observed.

You will maintain strong client relationships, coordinate with the New Account Team, and work with advisors to discuss distributions and fund movements. This role offers growth in Private Banking and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience required or preferred.
• 2+ years experience in financial services.
• Effective client relationship skills and experience.
• Demonstrates effective time management and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for a portfolio of accounts including Agency, IRAs, and Custody accounts.
• Retain client base by delivering high service standards and clear communication.
• Assist with onboarding and funding of new accounts and ensure documentation is complete.
• Coordinate annual tax reporting and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and cross-sell bank products.
• Support supervision and training of Account Specialists and staff.
