Job summary

Arrowhead Automotive is seeking an Account Manager Trainee in Overland Park, KS. This entry‑level role develops the knowledge and skills to provide technical and administrative support to producers, serving as the first point of contact for customers and handling renewals and endorsements to support underwriting.

You will manage client accounts, renewals, and marketing efforts, work with underwriters for timely quotes, and pursue a state Property and Casualty license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years related experience in the insurance industry.
• High level of organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet required timeframes.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• State Property and Casualty license required within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review in-force policies for current clients ensuring forms, endorsements, policy changes, billing and data are accurate in the agency system.
• Manage higher‑level changes and assist with COIs when critical.
• Handle billing issues and coordinate with Accounting on past‑due balances.
• Renewal marketing prep: update policy information, gather loss reports, process renewal info and submissions.
• Work with underwriters to receive quotes and prepare renewal presentations and proposals.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AT ARROWHEAD

In this position, you will develop the knowledge and skills to provide technical and advanced administrative support to our producers. You will also develop the knowledge and ability to provide consultation and technical support as the first point of contact for customers. Additionally, you will compile data, perform routine and non-routine tasks, and processes renewals and endorsements to support the underwriting process.

Client Management

You will provide an outstanding client experience focusing on daily policy management duties like:

• Review in-force policies for current clients making sure forms, endorsements, policy changes, billing and other data are accurate in our agency management system (Applied/EPIC).

• Personally manage higher level changes. Our CSR group handles most of the COIs but if something is mission critical (e.g. a change in location) we want your expertise to take care of it.

• Handle billing related issues and work directly with Accounting to address past due balances.

Marketing

A big piece of hitting the ground from Day One in this role is renewing and remarketing an existing book of business.

• Renewal marketing prep includes updating policy information, gathering loss reports, processing renewal information received from our clients, and completing applications/submissions.

• Working with insurance company underwriters to receive timely and accurate quotes.

• Preparing renewal presentations and proposals, and binding/reissuing policies.

EXPERIENCE WE NEED IN THIS ROLE

• Bachelor’s degree and zero to two years related experience in the insurance industry and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• High level of organizational ability and attention to detail.

• Able to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks and assignments in required timeframes.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• State Property and Casualty license is required within the first 90 days of employment.
