Account Manager – Texturants Food – North America - Remote

Job Overview

ADM Texturants offers a variety of ingredient solutions to the food, industrial, and pharmaceutical markets, including lecithin and polyols. The Account Manager will own, develop, and grow existing and new Texturants customers within the food segment in North America (US and Canada). This role involves cross-selling ADM’s full product range, including flavors, colors, proteins, and health and wellness ingredients. It provides exposure to customer account selling processes, product discovery, market intelligence, product applications, and marketing activities within the food segment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop relationships with key customer influencers and decision-makers.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to increase lecithin and polyol market share, including new developments and cross-selling nutrition products.
  • Utilize market information for strategic planning at customer, market, pricing, and product levels.
  • Negotiate sales contracts with a portfolio of customers.
  • Manage sales contract execution from agreement to delivery.
  • Develop and implement account plans for new and existing customers.
  • Define and achieve annual sales targets for assigned markets.
  • Manage sales volumes, pricing, credit issues, and contracts with support teams.
  • Use customer systems such as CRM (including SalesForce.com).
  • Coordinate customer requirements and develop sales leads and prospects.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Provide competitive pricing and maintain accurate records of sales activities and contracts.
  • Prepare regular reports for business leaders.
  • Travel up to 50% as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a science-related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the food ingredients industry.
  • Experience in food science and technical knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
  • Strong strategic, planning, and negotiation skills.
Skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Compensation ranges from $78,000 to $145,700 annually, with additional incentives and benefits, including health, wellness, financial, and professional development programs.
