Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for supporting the assigned Employer Account Executive and Employer Groups in communications, client-facing initiatives, and product and program recommendations. This position must establish and maintain relationships with designated client counterparts.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Employer Groups and Health Plan Leadership team to resolve issues and ensure member satisfaction; coordinate with operational units to put processes in place that will prevent repeat issues in the future.
  • Collaborate with account executive and employer market leadership to build business cases for client-facing initiatives; provide input into, and support for initiatives such as implementations, setting performance standards, and creating cost justifications.
  • Partner with Employer Account Executives and/or Prime and Health Plan leadership to understand the purpose and intent of reporting requests, evaluate relevant information, and determine the best way to present it for decision-making.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with Employer Groups to build relationships and promote product opportunities, increasing market penetration and awareness; follow up with stakeholders as needed.
  • Support client audits, develop presentations, and facilitate client visits and health fairs.
  • Work with small employer accounts to optimize pharmacy spend through Prime products and services.
  • Support Employer Group retention via proactive issue resolution, understanding client challenges, and helping implement mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Document interactions and input data into Salesforce CRM, including meeting notes, dependencies, risks, decisions, next steps, and responsible parties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of Client Service/Account Management experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to develop effective sales messages, presentations, and proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating meetings, resolving conflicts, building rapport, and influencing across departments.
  • Ability to balance compliance, business goals, and risks while driving initiatives.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Effective teamwork in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare or PBM industry experience.
  • Prior pharmacy technician experience and/or CPhT certification.
Physical Demands
  • Up to 30% travel.
  • Work outside standard hours as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Constant sitting, using hands, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
  • Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Employees must comply with security responsibilities, legal, regulatory, contractual requirements, and internal policies.

Potential pay ranges from $59,000 to $94,000 based on experience and skills.
