Account Manager - Pulp & Paper

This position reports to

Regional Sales Manager - Pulp & Paper

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market/division, aligned with the division strategy. You will achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will identify and develop new sales opportunities, showcasing your expertise.

The work model for this role is remote, with work from home and travel as needed.

This position contributes to the Process Automation Process Industries division in the Midwest region. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Communicating delivery times, payments, and terms to customers, in line with ABB's offerings and strategy.
  2. Ensuring effective marketing activities and communicating value propositions to customers.
  3. Identifying and developing new market opportunities.
  4. Managing administrative sales procedures and supporting cash collection and project management activities when needed.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including military service, OR an Associate's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including military service, OR a High School Diploma with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including military service.
  • Proven sales track record, preferably in Pulp & Paper or related industries.
  • Ability to drive strategic and tactical sales activities.
  • Strong value-based and ROI-based selling skills.
  • Familiarity with ABB's product portfolio and competitors is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%.
  • Work authorization to work in the US for ABB is required.
