Job summary

Michelman is seeking an Account Manager for the Printing & Packaging unit to drive revenue and margin growth in the assigned territory. You will develop new business opportunities and coordinate with marketing and technology teams to build a strong sales pipeline.

The role requires 5+ years of specialty chemical sales, deep coatings knowledge, and travel up to 50%. Proficiency with Salesforce, PowerBI, and forecasting tools will help manage the customer lifecycle from prospecting to closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field such as Chemistry, Paper or Packaging preferred.
• 5+ years of specialty chemical sales experience.
• Deep understanding of formulated coatings for paper, film, and foil substrates; knowledge of application techniques and equipment.
• Experience with web-based converting.
• Strong market knowledge and industry contacts.
• Familiarity with a formalized sales process such as Miller-Heiman.
• Experience with Value Pricing to secure best prices.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and forecasting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and generate new business.
• Travel regularly to customers and industry trade shows.
• Qualify opportunities based on value proposition and key decision makers.
• Understand customer budgets and project priorities.
• Develop strategies and measure effectiveness to grow revenue.

• Collaborate with Sales Director on strategic direction, pricing, and forecasts.
• Use CRM to manage pipeline and lifecycle from prospecting to close.
• Maintain knowledge through industry publications and professional networks.
