The Account Manager is responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining strategic business-to-business customer relationships across wholesale, contract manufacturing, private label, and custom-blend accounts.
This role serves as a key customer contact and trusted business partner, guiding customers from initial inquiry and product discovery through quoting, sampling, product development, order placement, production coordination, and ongoing account management.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned customers and serve as their primary point of contact.
Identify opportunities to increase customer purchases through new products, line extensions, seasonal offerings, and additional product categories.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and actively pursue new wholesale, private-label, contract-manufacturing, and custom-blend customers.
Understand customer needs and recommend products, packaging, formulations, and manufacturing solutions that align with customer requirements and company capabilities.
Guide customers through the product development and manufacturing process while coordinating with internal teams to keep projects moving forward.
Provide timely, professional communication and proactively address customer questions, concerns, changes, and delays.
Meet established sales, revenue, margin, account-growth, and new-business objectives.
Represent the company professionally at trade shows, conferences, industry events, and customer meetings.
This is primarily an office-based position requiring regular use of computers, telephone, email, CRM, and other business systems. The position requires the ability to attend trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and VIP customer visits. Travel is expected to be 20% or less. Occasional lifting or handling of product samples, sales materials, and trade show materials may be required. With demonstrated success, initiative, and leadership, the Account Manager may have the opportunity to grow into a Business Development Manager role.
