Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to drive sales and expand our territory with strategic business plans and relationships within institutional audiences.

You will educate buyers using approved resources and collaborate across Sales Operations, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in specialty pharma sales, experience in HSCT/hematologic malignancies, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in business, science, or related field.
  • 7–10 years in specialty pharmaceutical sales in complex institutions.
  • Experience in HSV/IC/HSCT/SOT or hematologic malignancies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of therapeutics, products, competitors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record meeting company standards.
  • Travel 60–70% domestically; overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Create a business plan to drive awareness, maximize territory sales and generate revenue.
  • Develop, implement, and expand knowledge of territory, market dynamics, products, competitors, and disease states.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within institutional target audience, including Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Effectively educate institutional audiences using Company approved resources, sales materials, and promotional initiatives as identified by sales leadership.
  • Work to increase access and adoption at the institutional level (P&T committee understanding, protocol development support, treatment pathway integration, inpatient-to-outpatient care transition)
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales activities, including sales calls, presentations, targets/leads database, and follow-up activities.
  • Regularly participates in local and regional professional events, industry conferences, annual meetings, and other Company-wide meetings.
  • Successfully collaborates with cross-functional team members, including Sales Operations, Field Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access.
  • Achieves sales goals, conducts day-to-day activities including submitting timely and accurate reports (expenses, business plans, etc.) while adhering to ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and promotional regulations.
  • Organizes and executes territory-specific events, such as speaker bureau presentations, lunch-and-learn programs, etc.
  • Participates in special projects or sales-related activities, as deemed necessary.
  • Shares market intelligence to optimize brand strategy and execution.
  • Works within assigned expense budget by exercising sound judgment regarding general operating, travel, and promotional expenditures.

Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Manager contributes to the Company’s success by developing, maintaining, and expanding sales within the assigned territory. The incumbent creates and executes a strategic business plan to maximize net sales of assigned products in alignment with commercial leadership and all Company guidelines, policies, and objectives.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates a business plan to drive awareness, maximize territory sales and generate revenue.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • B.S. / B.A. in business, scientific, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years’ experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales in complex institutions (academic medical centers, HSCT programs, transplant centers, regional referral hospitals, etc.)
  • Experience in refractory HSV, IC, HSCT, SOT or hematologic malignancies required; experience in multiple disease areas strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitor knowledge; recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Consistently displays positive attitude through challenges and change.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Meets all requirements for health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing to gain entry into facilities and organizations that are in the assigned territory.
  • A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company standards.
  • Travel Requirements: 60%-70% domestic. Overnight travel is required in this role.
