Job summary

Jarvis Fullenwilder State Farm in Clinton, MD is seeking a motivated Account Manager who will grow the agency by strengthening customer relationships and providing insurance and financial services solutions tailored to individuals, families, and businesses.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in insurance, sales, customer service, or account management preferred.
• Maryland Property & Casualty insurance license preferred, or willingness to obtain required licensing.
• Life & Health insurance licensing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Conduct regular policy reviews to ensure customers' coverage aligns with their changing needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and assisting with policy changes.
• Proactively follow up with customers to improve retention and overall satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to offer additional insurance products, including auto, home, renters, life, and business insurance.
• Generate and follow up on leads through outbound calls, referrals, existing customer relationships, and community outreach.
• Schedule appointments to discuss insurance and financial services needs.
• Present coverage options and recommendations that align with customer goals.
• Work toward individual and agency sales and retention goals.
• Assist customers with policy updates, renewals, billing inquiries, and general account servicing.
• Prepare and issue certificates of insurance (COIs) and other policy-related documentation.
• Maintain accurate customer records and document interactions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and State Farm departments to resolve customer needs.
• Support daily agency operations and contribute to an efficient, customer-focused environment.
• Represent the agency at local community events, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives.
• Help develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners.
• Identify opportunities to generate referrals and build the agency's presence throughout the community.
• Support agency-sponsored events and marketing initiatives.
