Job Description

About the Team: The Aftermarket Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining ZF as a preferred and reliable partner by managing all dimensions for assigned Aftermarket region/accounts. The focus is on continuously improving customer satisfaction and further enhancing the customer/supplier relationship through translation of the voice of the customer into the right customer strategy and serving as the central conduit for all customer related activities.

This is a remote position supporting a sales region covering Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Candidates residing in the Western Chicago area are strongly preferred.

What you can look forward to as an Aftermarket Account Manager:
  • Lead the request for quotation process for all customer requests.
  • Execute sales growth strategies.
  • Ensure responsiveness to customer needs, expectations, and requests, and communicate these throughout our organization.
  • Strengthen the account team fulfilling all internal and external expectations.
  • Maintain product development strategies in the Business Units to fulfill customer and market needs.
  • Initiate and implement campaigns, projects, and customer events as required.
  • Support negotiations with customers, including contracts and promotional programs.
  • Deliver premium service levels across the value chain from product development through manufacturing to delivery.
Your Profile as an Aftermarket Account Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical/sales background, preferably in heavy truck industry, automotive market, or Aftermarket sales.
  • Commercial Vehicle experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams; strong Excel skills required.
  • Deep commercial understanding of the region and/or customers.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% - 75% of the time.

The expected base compensation for this role is $103,800 - $129,800 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on relevant factors.
