Job Title: Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines

Location: Remote, supporting our Gainesville, GA Branch

Book Focus: Franchised Dealerships, Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Cyber

About the Role: Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, Producer, and/or assigned group of accounts. Work with minimal direction from an Account Manager (AM), Account Executive (AE), or Producer, ensuring standards are met while safeguarding against errors and omissions. Independently resolve moderately complex customer service problems and manage smaller or less complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
  • Assist in directing day-to-day activities of support staff and team members.
  • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct client research, gather underwriting info, perform loss run analysis, prepare submissions, evaluate and negotiate coverages and pricing, and follow through with policy issuance.
  • Process tasks accurately within required timeframes.
  • Assist in reviewing contracts for proper coverage inclusion.
  • Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Monitor activity/suspense for timely completion.
  • Maintain transparent communication with the team about workload and issues.
  • Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs, and respond promptly.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  • Seek continuous improvement practices.
  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership aligned with IOA values.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of customer service experience in insurance.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active insurance license required; professional designation preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
