Cigna Healthcare is seeking an Account Manager to serve as a trusted partner, owning day-to-day client engagement and driving satisfaction and retention. You will monitor performance, coordinate solutions across teams, and use insights to improve business outcomes.

Account Manager

Join our team as an Account Manager, where you will serve as a trusted partner to clients and help turn strong service into long-term relationships. In this role, you will own day-to-day client engagement, monitor account performance, coordinate solutions across teams, and use operational insights to strengthen satisfaction, retention, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships for assigned clients, building a strong understanding of their goals, expectations, and operational priorities.
• Serve as the primary coordinator for client requests, service issues, and escalations, ensuring timely follow-through and clear communication.
• Monitor operational performance against contractual commitments, key metrics, and client expectations to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze performance trends and prepare client-ready reports, action plans, and progress updates that support informed decisions.
• Partner with Service Delivery, Operations, and other internal teams to investigate root causes and resolve complex service issues.
• Facilitate client meetings, business reviews, and service discussions while ensuring commitments and next steps are clearly documented and completed.
• Advocate for client needs across the organization while aligning solutions with Evernorth capabilities and business objectives.
• Use industry, client, and operational insights to identify emerging risks, opportunities, and service improvements.
• Contribute to process improvements that strengthen the client experience and operational effectiveness.
• Share best practices and account insights with peers and provide guidance to less experienced team members when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in account management, client services, healthcare, pharmacy benefit management, specialty pharmacy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and coordinating cross-functional business activities.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data, performance metrics, and trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Strong problem-solving, issue-resolution, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and related business applications.
• Ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and relationship management in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to work Central or Eastern time-zone business hours and travel as needed to support clients and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management, or related industry operations.
• Experience supporting client performance reviews, contractual service commitments, or complex escalations.
• Experience mentoring peers, supporting onboarding, or contributing to team capability development.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 75,200 - 125,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
