Advance Industrial Automation. Lead Innovation in the Pulp & Paper Industry.

ABB is hiring a Business Development Manager – Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Pulp & Paper – North America. This is a remote role supporting ABB’s Process Automation business, helping drive growth in DCS solutions across new installations, system upgrades, and expansions.

As a global leader in industrial automation, ABB empowers industries to run leaner, cleaner, and smarter. In this role, you’ll directly support our North American Pulp & Paper team in delivering advanced control systems that improve plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute sales support strategies for DCS products and services
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend tailored solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions
  • Collaborate with ABB’s sales, engineering, and service teams to deliver value-driven solutions
  • Support customer visits through ABB’s Automation Roadshow initiatives
  • Travel up to 50% to customer sites, industry events, and internal meetings

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent: Associate’s with 9+ years or HS diploma with 11+ years)
  • Strong background with Distributed Control Systems – ABB 800xA preferred
  • Experience working in the Pulp & Paper industry in a sales, business development, or technical support capacity
  • Prior experience in a sales support or customer-facing technical role is highly valued
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Located within the Midwest, South, or East U.S., within 90 minutes of a major airport
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
