Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 4–6 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in account management or a similar customer-facing role
  • Familiarity with aerospace market and customer segments relevant to Curtiss‑Wright’s products
  • Ability to manage large/multi‑million dollar key accounts
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Book of Business relative to sales, margin, bookings, and manage pricing and contract negotiation
  • Drive delivery status, proactive schedule communication, and customer scorecard performance
  • Develop objectives and plans to improve short- and long-term sales performance
  • Lead business review presentations for key accounts and ensure customer needs are met
  • Coordinate with internal departments to provide product information and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Execute voice of customer interviews and act on feedback
  • Forecast sales and set team performance goals
  • Analyze market trends to inform pricing and discount strategies
  • Document and implement improvements in account management processes
  • Coordinate customer visits and regular business reviews

Account Manager

Our Sensors & Actuation Division in Tempe, AZ is looking for an Account Manager to manage key accounts and drive sales growth within a large geographic area. In this role, you will maintain key client relationships, and design strategic account plans to drive revenue growth. This position operates under minimal supervision, offering a dynamic opportunity to significantly impact our sales performance and foster long‑term client partnerships.

Location: Tempe, AZ

Salary Range: $86,100 - 100,000 per year plus bonus

Your Challenge
Revenue Growth & Account Management
  • Maintain Book of Business relative to sales, margin, bookings, and manage pricing and contract negotiation
  • Managing and ensuring LOB delivery status, proactive communication of schedule movement, and drive customer scorecard to best-in‑class performance
  • Develop objectives, strategies, and actionable plans to improve both short‑ and long‑term sales performance.
Client Engagement & Presentation
  • Lead business review presentations for key accounts, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide detailed product information and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Executes voice of customer interviews, disseminates and actions customer feedback.
  • Maintains open actions and actively gets out in front of potential escalation points.
Sales Planning & Performance
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and establish performance goals for the team.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and sales data to develop competitive pricing and discount strategies.
Process Improvement
  • Define, document, and implement continual improvements in the account management processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer activity, monitoring internal and external progress and reporting on results.
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Act as a liaison between sales and other organizational departments to resolve issues, ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded and to streamline processes.
  • Coordinate customer visits and regular business reviews.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years of account management or a similar customer facing role, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Familiarity with target markets and customer segments relevant to the company’s products
  • Ability to manage large/complex multi‑million dollar key accounts
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Self‑motivated with excellent organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Flexibility to work variable hours as needed.
