Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the Manager of Underwriting and Marketing, the Account Manager will proactively develop existing client relationships to increase Safestor Tenant Insurance participation in their regional territory. The role involves working with local and national teams to consult and service Safestor clients within the self-storage industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and thrive in a feedback-oriented culture.

Responsibilities:

• Retain and expand current client relationships
• Communicate and promote product growth to new and existing clients
• Understand each customer’s needs and goals through regular contact
• Build rapport with customers through responsive interactions
• Provide proactive customer service
• Become knowledgeable about the competitive environment and effectively position Safestor as the top insurance choice for self-storage locations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in account management
• Goal achievement and priority setting skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Willingness to travel up to 30%, mainly during Spring and Fall
• Self-motivated, disciplined, with prompt follow-up skills
• Leadership and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
• Availability during office hours 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday AZ time zone

Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business management, or equivalent experience preferred
• Insurance experience is a plus
