Job summary

Tube Supply in Odessa, TX is seeking an Account Manager to grow steel sales across oil and gas sectors. You will respond to customer inquiries, quote materials, and coordinate with operations to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and vendor relations. We value at least five years of steel sales experience and the ability to read Mill Test Reports and customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of steel sales experience.
• Prior experience with reading and understanding Mill Test Reports and customer specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries in an effective, timely manner.
• Assist in mentoring Junior Account Managers.
• Approve MTR’s to customer specifications.
• Obtain quotes from vendors for services.
• Negotiate best prices and deliveries from vendors.
• Work to approve vendor relations and response times.
• Plan staggered shipments.
• Assist management and Quality control with customer NCRs.
• Assist management and Quality control with material (Mill) NCRs.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels.
• Track and troubleshoot orders.
• Add and review freight and rush charges.
• Correct discrepancies between purchase orders and customers invoices.
• Assist with credit card or COD payments (if applicable).
• Process and document returned material as required.
• Preservation of records (Sales, Orders, services, etc.).
• Communicate with operations daily regarding material and delivery requirements.
• Assist all other departments as needed.
• Comply with all HSE, QMS and Corporate policies at Tube Supply.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a Management/Supervisor.
