Position Summary

As a GI Processing Account Manager at STERIS, you are responsible for selling the entire suite of Endoscope Reprocessing products including capital and consumables solutions to major hospitals, health systems, and ASCs in a specific geographic territory. You will provide a comprehensive approach focused on meeting with higher level decision-makers within a hospital and driving top-down decision-making to standardize workflows and deliver a higher level of infection prevention and patient care.

This is a remote-based customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in Louisiana, covering Greater New Orleans (including Baton Rouge, Alexandria, and Gulfport/Biloxi).

Responsibilities
  1. Penetrate target accounts with frequent visits to ensure sales growth and business maintenance.
  2. Maximize business through existing accounts by executing consultative sales processes.
  3. Maintain understanding of ordering patterns and pricing guidelines within the acute care setting.
  4. Travel within the territory to optimize product exposure and communicate customer needs.
  5. Research products and observe the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  6. Participate in planning and implementing marketing and sales strategies.
  7. Interact with other departments to handle customer requirements.
  8. Troubleshoot and evaluate product reliability issues.
  9. Maintain and grow business within current accounts.
  10. Develop consultative relationships with new and existing accounts to manage infection control practices.
  11. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of successful sales experience
  • Ability to comply with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
Preferred:
  • Experience selling capital or disposables into hospitals or GI call points
  • Experience in preparing business plans to achieve sales goals
  • Formalized sales training and development
  • Ability to prioritize and close large opportunities across a large geography
  • Experience with CRM and defined sales processes
  • Experience in complex selling environments with multiple call points

Compensation and Location

Pay range: $55,000 - $65,000, with potential earnings of $180,000 - $220,000 including commissions. The position is remote, based in Louisiana, covering Greater New Orleans.
