Job summary

Premier Financial Search is seeking an Account Manager to oversee daily financial, business, and personal affairs of assigned clients and to lead bookkeeping staff toward high standards of accuracy and service.

You will manage full-cycle accounting, monitor bank activity, prepare cash flow reports, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with management to maintain clean financial records and implement efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a business management or accounting firm.
  • Experience with clients in entertainment or related industries a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts with senior staff.
  • Apply knowledge of personal and corporate chart of accounts.
  • Monitor daily account activity and process requests promptly.
  • Review daily bank balances and oversee transfers.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily and monthly bank statements.
  • Generate monthly cash flow reports and oversee period-end closing.
  • Accurately complete daily billing timesheets with commentary.
  • Review and approve work by Bookkeepers, including payroll timesheets.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to bookkeeping staff.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain clean, accurate financial records.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Join a respected and well-established firm with an impressive client roster spanning a variety of specialized industries. As an Account Manager, you’ll manage the daily financial, business, and personal affairs of assigned clients, ensuring each account is handled with accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service. You’ll also provide leadership and mentorship to the bookkeeping staff, supporting both the team’s development and the firm’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, in coordination with senior staff.
  • Apply knowledge of both personal and corporate Chart of Accounts.
  • Monitor daily account activity, process requests, and follow up on pending matters promptly.
  • Review daily bank balances and oversee necessary transfers.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily and monthly bank statements.
  • Generate monthly cash flow reports and oversee period-end closing activities.
  • Accurately complete daily billing timesheets with appropriate commentary.
  • Utilize internal systems and tools (e.g., expense allocation modules, bill schedulers, document repositories) to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Review and approve work prepared by Bookkeepers, including billing and payroll timesheets.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and oversight to bookkeeping staff.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain clean, accurate, and timely financial records.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency (e.g., implementing digital payment solutions, reducing reliance on paper).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Strong accounting background with the ability to manage full-cycle financial processes.
  • Capacity to work independently and proactively anticipate the needs of both clients and team members.
  • Excellent time management and decision-making skills.
  • Strong follow‑up and organizational abilities.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with financial management platforms such as AgilLink or comparable systems.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a business management or accounting firm.
  • Experience working with clients in the entertainment or related industries is a plus.
  • $85,000 to $125,000 based on experience
