Job description

The Distribution Account Manager will manage and grow strategic relationships through channel partners, working closely with commercial, product, marketing, and development teams to execute distribution strategy across multiple market segments.

Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue growth by delivering growth opportunities in strategic staple and growth markets, focusing on industrial segments such as Agriculture, Chemical Manufacturing, and Textiles.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in collaboration with sales and leadership teams.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations, sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to management.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities, and communicate insights to shape product development and marketing strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Develop strategic market and account plans, outlining initiatives, sales goals, and action items for key clients.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with strategic partners and senior management.
  • Develop and facilitate distributor goals, pipeline, KPIs, and programs to achieve growth targets.
  • Support distributor activity with joint calls and collaborate on training, technical support, and R&D needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and coordinating with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with sales, technical, and product teams to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain departments to ensure timely delivery and product availability.
  • Address issues or challenges during business operations and work with internal teams to resolve them professionally.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the consumer care and distribution space.
  • Proven track record of managing B2B accounts and delivering sales growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, business, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of the chemical industry, including products, regulations, and market dynamics, is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret customer data and trends.
