Job summary

PERI is seeking an Account Manager - Product Sales in Dallas to drive revenue through the sale and rental of PERI’s products, solutions, and services. You will manage customer relationships across the project lifecycle and collaborate with internal teams to support bids and project delivery.

You will actively prospect, cultivate new customers, and maintain strong relationships with decision makers while achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience in sales, business development, project management, or construction.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technology.

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospecting to identify potential customer sites within a geographic area and selling PERI products to sites.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and decision makers.
  • Manage customer rental projects and liaise between PERI and customers.
  • Prospect new customers and projects and build relationships with existing ones.
  • Manage the sales lifecycle from initial contact to project closeout.
  • Maintain pipeline and ensure target achievement while liaising with customers.

Job description

The main purpose of PERI’s Account Manager - Product Sales position is to increase revenue volume and achieve strategic sales objectives. The position does this by being accountable for revenue generation, customer relationships, and growing customer base within an assigned geographical area. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Account Manager to manage all aspects of generating revenue through the sale and rental of PERI’s products, solutions, and services. The sales team supports the customer throughout the project lifecycle in close collaboration with PERI’s internal team.

What You'll Do On a Typical Day
  • Actively and continuously prospecting to identify potential customer sites for PERI products within a geographical area and actively sell PERI products to all construction sites within a geographical area.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers focusing on maintaining strong transactional relationships with decision makers.
  • Actively managing customer rental projects and function as a liaison between PERI and the customer.
  • Actively prospecting and identifying potential PERI customers/projects and establishing and building relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Manage sales lifecycle (beginning with initial customer contact and ending with project closeout meeting).
  • Effectively manage pipeline and coverage to ensure target achievement and act as liaison with the customer to maintain and improve a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maximize in-person customer interactions to build and maintain relationships, to gain understanding of requirements and needs, and to provide support with current and future projects.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach with the objective of adding value throughout the sales cycle while continuously learning and maintaining knowledge of products, services, and their application.
  • Accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and work with internal PERI departments from project kick-off to project closeout.
  • Perform ongoing market research to stay up to date with trends, changes, and growth activity that may impact on our business and customers including understanding political, economic, and competitive landscape in assigned territory.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
  • Post-secondary education degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, project management, or construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application and computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to utilizing new technology/software.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Construction and/or formwork industry experience is preferred.
  • Capacity to read structural drawings is preferred.

  • PERI's Sales Process and Construction Industry Knowledge: Advanced understanding of PERI's sales process, scaffolding construction project lifecycles, and the B2B business environment, including familiarity with the end-to-end sales process and customer lifecycle.
