Job summary

CELINE, a French Luxury House, seeks an Account Executive to grow wholesale operations in the US from our NYC corporate office. The one-year contract runs Aug 2026–Aug 2027, reporting to the Wholesale Director and coordinating with planning, merchandising, logistics and finance.

You will manage Major and Specialty accounts, drive seasonal assortments, and lead market appointments, requiring strong analytical, communication, and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years Fashion Buying or Wholesale experience in a premium/luxury environment.
  • Advanced comprehension of department stores, specialty boutiques and American retail trends.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal skills and firm understanding of retail math.
  • Strong communication skills both internally and externally, able to respond effectively to both client and division needs in NY and Paris.
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Skypad and Joor.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time, if necessary, domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with Major and Specialty accounts across the US while supporting Men’s and Women’s shoes and RTW business.
  • Update and analyze fiscal and style selling on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis to identify opportunities to drive business.
  • Maximize sales through correct seasonal buys to ensure assortments are well balanced and represent company strategies.
  • Analyze shipping/tracking of delivery flow weekly to ensure a seamless process to accounts.
  • Manage in-season assortment changes, coordinate markdowns, returns and product exit, and support in preparing market week materials.
  • Drive and present in seasonal market appointments, store product knowledge clinics and events.
  • Drive order entry and closing of orders 6x year for Men’s and Women’s Buying Sessions to ensure a seamless order process in partnership with sellers.
  • Participate in budget forecasts and achieve agreed sales targets.
  • Understand account product needs and build specific assortments by-door/region with buyers/management during market.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of competitors and their strategies.
  • Build relationships with buyers, department and specialty stores through daily communication.
  • Partner with VM on activations.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

Based out of our NYC corporate office and reporting to the Wholesale Director, the Account Executive role is accountable for growing Celine’s wholesale business through partnership with leading department stores and specialty stores. This expected timeframe of this temporary contract is one year from August 2026 to August 2027. The role includes reviewing existing and potential distribution opportunities, managing market periods, post-market activities and retail performance. The wholesale team works in close collaboration with planning, merchandising, logistics and finance to deliver business goals.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Understand account product needs and build specific assortments by-door/region with buyers/management during market while ensuring a productive assortment is allocated.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of competitors and their strategies.
  • Build relationships with buyers, department and specialty stores through daily communication.
  • Partner with VM on activations.
