About The Role
The Account Executive owns new business revenue for a cloud-based observability and developer infrastructure platform used by engineering, DevOps, and platform teams. The role manages the full sales cycle, from account strategy and technical discovery through solution alignment, negotiation, and close. The role matters because customers rely on the platform to improve service reliability, reduce incident response time, and gain visibility across Kubernetes, microservices, APIs, and cloud environments. The Raleigh-based team operates remotely and partners closely with solutions engineering, product, marketing, and customer success to convert complex technical requirements into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline across mid-market and enterprise accounts using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales-engagement tools such as Outreach or Salesloft
- Prospect into engineering, DevOps, SRE, platform, and IT leadership teams through targeted outbound campaigns, referrals, events, and partner channels
- Lead discovery and qualification using MEDDICC or a comparable methodology; document business pain, technical requirements, stakeholders, decision criteria, and next steps
- Deliver value-based product demonstrations with solutions engineers, connecting observability, Kubernetes, API monitoring, and cloud cost or reliability use cases to customer priorities
- Develop account plans, mutual action plans, accurate forecasts, and late-stage deal strategies for opportunities ranging from initial evaluation to multi-year expansion
- Negotiate commercial terms, coordinate security and procurement reviews, and close new annual recurring revenue in line with quarterly and annual targets
- Partner with customer success to create clean implementation handoffs, identify expansion opportunities, and maintain executive alignment after the sale
What We Are Looking For

- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, Kubernetes, DevOps, SRE, observability, cybersecurity, or adjacent technical domains
- Proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales tools such as Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, ZoomInfo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Demonstrated ability to run discovery with technical and executive stakeholders, build multi-threaded relationships, and communicate business value clearly
- Experience with structured qualification and forecasting methodologies such as MEDDICC, MEDDPICC, Challenger, or SPICED
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; Bonus: experience selling to engineering or platform teams, familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and a history of closing complex six-figure SaaS deals
