Job Overview

The Account Executive, SMB Team Sales role at T-Mobile is designed for ambitious, results-driven sales professionals passionate about building stellar customer relationships and bringing T-Mobile's unmatched products and services to underserved markets.

This is a true hunter role that involves meeting and exceeding monthly sales quota objectives by successfully acquiring new accounts with small and medium-sized businesses (1-299 employees). You will sell products, services, and solutions to gain new business through prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and generating leads and referrals. You will analyze customer needs and use solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services, tailoring customer recommendations to negotiate and close business.

NOTE: Though listed as "remote," the candidate for this position must reside or be willing to reside within the Clinton/Crofton/Silver Spring, MD territory as this is a field sales role.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead generation: Generate and work leads in developed and underdeveloped territories through prospecting, cold calling, and networking under sales manager supervision.
  2. Customer needs: Sell to demonstrate T-Mobile’s value. Recommend wireless solutions, including price plans, data services, handsets, and accessories.
  3. Deal negotiation: Negotiate and close deals.
  4. Skill development: Develop skills in prospecting, call execution, and relationship management with leadership. Participate in product training and sales meetings.
  5. Sales approaches: Create effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals.
  6. Sales automation: Apply sales force automation, manage sales funnel, and report on sales activities and forecasts.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 1+ years verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience, preferably within a commissioned environment. (Preferred)
  • Outside B2B sales experience. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Task Management: Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires multi-tasking. (Required)
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated experience delivering superior customer service and attention to detail. (Required)
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. (Required)
  • Negotiation: Effective negotiating and closing skills, including communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving. (Required)
  • Cold Calling: Ability to cold call/door knock. (Preferred)
  • Prospect Management: Experience in identifying, nurturing, and guiding potential leads through from initial contact to conversion. (Preferred)
  • CRM Experience: Using CRM systems such as Salesforce to manage customer relationships and sales activities efficiently. (Preferred)
  • Proposal Writing: Experience preparing, delivering, and following-up on product/service proposals and pricing quotations. (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $71,800 - $129,400, inclusive of target incentives. Base Pay Range: $43,080 - $77,640. Actual pay will vary based on location, qualifications, and experience. For specific pay details based on location, visit this link.
