Job Overview

The Account Executive, SMB Sales role at T-Mobile is designed for ambitious, results-driven sales professionals who are passionate about building stellar customer relationships and delivering T-Mobile's unmatched products and services to underserved markets.

This is a true hunter role where you can exceed sales quotas, acquire new accounts, and revolutionize the wireless industry with small and medium-sized businesses (1-299 employees). In this role, you'll achieve and surpass monthly sales targets by prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and generating leads within an assigned geographic territory. You'll analyze customer needs, use solution-based selling to showcase T-Mobile's value, tailor recommendations, and close deals.

Note

Though listed as MD-remote as we do not have a field office in the area, the candidate MUST reside within Belair/Whitemarsh/Essex or PTCounty/Lanham, MD areas, as this is a field sales job with 50% in the field.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead Generation: Generate and work leads through prospecting, cold calling, and networking under sales manager supervision.
  2. Customer Needs: Identify customer needs and use solution-based selling to demonstrate T-Mobile’s value. Recommend wireless solutions, including plans, data services, handsets, and accessories.
  3. Deal Negotiation: Negotiate and close deals.
  4. Skill Development: Develop skills in prospecting, call execution, and relationship management. Participate in product training and sales meetings.
  5. Sales Approaches: Create effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals.
  6. Sales Automation: Use sales force automation tools, manage sales funnel, and report on activities and forecasts.
  7. Customer Base: Maintain and grow the customer base within your territory.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 1+ years of verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience, preferably in a commissioned environment (Preferred)
  • Outside B2B sales experience (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Task Management: Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment (Required)
  • Customer Service: Proven experience delivering excellent customer service (Required)
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and oral skills (Required)
  • Negotiation: Effective negotiating and closing skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving (Required)
  • Cold Calling: Ability to cold call and door knock (Preferred)
  • Prospect Management: Experience in guiding leads from initial contact to conversion (Preferred)
  • CRM Experience: Using CRM systems like Salesforce to manage relationships (Preferred)
  • Proposal Writing: Preparing and following up on proposals and quotations (Preferred)

Employees in retail and business sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly incentives.
