Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Peoria, IL is seeking a Sales Account Executive to generate advertising revenue by calling on established agencies and new prospects, selling television advertising.

You will build relationships with local businesses, deliver compelling presentations, explain ad value, and coordinate with station staff to place ads. A bachelor's degree and sales experience are preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum one year experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing strategies to achieve them.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Generate advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects and convincing clients of the merits of television advertising.
• Implements strategies to grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.

• Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising.
• Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

Pay Range: $35,000-$40,000 Commission based
