Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Tampa, FL seeks a Sales Account Executive to drive television advertising revenue by calling on agencies and prospects, delivering compelling proposals, and managing client campaigns.

You will maintain and grow accounts, collaborate with station teams to place ads, and craft schedules that maximize client results. A driver’s license and media sales experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year’s experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing strategies to achieve them.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies and cold-calling new prospects.
• Delivers sales presentations to clients and explains how TV advertising will help promote products or services.
• Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts while growing revenue.
• Works with clients and station personnel to place advertising into station media and develop schedules.
• Prepares advertising schedules and presents them to clients and station personnel.

The Sales Account Executive generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects and convincing potential clients of the merits of television advertising. Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals. Establishes credible relationships with local business community. Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients. Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts. Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients. Explain to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible. Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media. Works with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media. Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:
