Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking an experienced Account Executive for a hybrid role in Texas. You will manage hospital and other client accounts, renewals, and upsell services while traveling as needed to meet client needs.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, understanding insurance product lines, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure outstanding service and retention targets.

Qualifications

  • General Lines Agent – Life, Health, and HMO license required or must be obtained within state time frame.
  • 2 years as a group health insurance account executive OR 6 years in related health care roles with knowledge of PPO/HMO products.
  • 2 years in a role with decision making and initiative; strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage block of existing accounts to meet retention targets.
  • Identify customer insurance and service needs and address them effectively.
  • Maintain relationships with existing accounts and serve as liaison between client and company.

Job Summary

This is a Hybrid role, three days in office/client visits and two days remote.

This position is responsible for ensuring continued and increased growth by negotiating renewals or selling products and services to existing customers, including Hospital clients, understanding customer needs, and providing customer support.

Ability to travel.

  • Manage block of existing accounts to meet retention targets.
  • Identify customer insurance needs and service needs and successfully meet those needs.
  • Establish and maintain an excellent working relationship with existing accounts.
  • Act as point of contact for issues/concerns and serve as liaison between the company and other principals in resolving inquiries regarding all issues of concern.
  • Block of accounts will include Hospital accounts which have unique needs and custom requirements that necessitate out of the box thinking, research of requested capabilities, complex problem solving and development of creative solutions.
  • Analyze utilization reports to determine best mix of products to meet customer needs.
  • Work closely with internal departments to provide answers and service to customers.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HCSC products, services, systems, and processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor’s products and insurance trends.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc. along with internal provider teams
  • Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
  • Maintain effective communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested by the appropriate Marketing Manager.
Job Requirements
  • Must have General Lines Agent – Life, Health, and HMO license or obtain General Lines Agent – Life, Health, and HMO license within required time frame per state regulations.
  • 2 years as a group health insurance account executive OR 6 years experience in group health claims processing, customer service, claims-related, and/or sales and thorough knowledge of managed health care products (PPO, HMO) processes and trends OR Bachelor degree and 3 years customer service/account management experience with thorough knowledge of managed health care products.
  • 2 years in a position which require decision making, initiative, and self-direction.
  • Customer Service oriented; detail oriented.
  • Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.
  • Experience addressing customer needs and building customer relations.
  • Experience analyzing reports, determining product mix for customers, and analyzing financial information.
  • Written and verbal communications skills, negotiation skills, and presentation skills.
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience.

This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range $56,900.00 - $85,300.00 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
