About Modives:
Modives is the company behind CheckMy Driver , a full-service insurance and identity verification, monitoring, and remediation platform for automotive dealers, lenders, and fleet operators. In one step on the customer’s phone, CheckMy Driver confirms who the person is and confirms the policy with the carrier: active, accurate, and adequate, right now.
Most dealerships think they verify insurance. They validate it. The card looks current and the name matches, but nobody asked the carrier. Validated is not verified. That gap is where uninsured vehicles leave the lot, where loaners go out without coverage, and where deals stall at the desk. We close it.
We are early-stage with a live product, paying dealers, and active platform partners. The people who join now will shape what we become.
The Role:
We are hiring a proven seller who can find the deal, run it, and close it.
You have carried a quota and hit it. You may have sold software, F&I products, or services into dealerships as a vendor rep, or moved from the showroom or F&I office into B2B sales. Either way, you know who really decides, how month-end pressure shapes a conversation, and how to earn a Dealer Principal’s or GM’s attention in the first 30 seconds.
This is a self-sourced seat. You generate your own opportunities through outbound calls, referrals, and the relationships you build across the automotive ecosystem. You become a known name to the dealers, platform vendors, and partner teams who shape how dealerships buy technology. Then you sell CheckMy Driver directly into the sales and service departments of franchise stores and dealer groups.
Your mission: build a pipeline you trust, run sharp discovery and demos, make the business case, and close. We measure you on closed revenue, not dials.
Responsibilities:
- Generate Your Own Pipeline: Make outbound calls, send email, and work LinkedIn and referral channels into franchise dealerships and dealer groups across the U.S. Build target account plans and work them with discipline.
- Sell Into Sales and Service: Engage Dealer Principals, General Managers, GSMs, F&I Directors, Fixed Ops and Service leaders, and loaner and rental coordinators. Get both the person who can say no and the person who lives the problem in the room.
- Build Authority in the Automotive World: Be visible and credible. Show up consistently on LinkedIn, in industry groups, and at conferences and trade shows. Make dealers and partners want to take your call.
- Work the Ecosystem: Build relationships with core automotive platform vendors, including dealer management, CRM, fleet, and loaner platforms, and with their integration and partner teams. Turn integrations and partnerships into introductions, joint opportunities, and credibility with dealers.
- Run Consultative Discovery: Learn how each store verifies identity and insurance today, where deals stall, where loaners leave without proof of coverage, and what uninsured exposure costs them.
- Deliver the Demo: Present CheckMy Driver yourself and tie it to the store’s own workflow, from first touch to F&I close or from service write-up to loaner release.
- Make the Business Case: Quantify speed to sale, deal friction, uninsured exposure, and asset protection in terms a dealer acts on. Use only approved, validated figures.
- Negotiate and Close: Handle pricing and terms, work objections, and move agreements through signature with leadership and contracts support.
- Expand Within Groups: Turn a single-rooftop win into multi-store and group-level agreements.
- Forecast with Discipline: Keep stages, next steps, amounts, and close dates accurate in HubSpot so leadership can trust the number.
- Hand Off Cleanly: Give Implementation the context to launch fast: stakeholders, scope, timeline, integrations, and promises made.
- Show Up in Person: Represent CheckMy Driver at industry conferences and trade shows, and visit customers in your region when a deal calls for it.
- Feed Intelligence Back to the Team: Share market feedback, objection patterns, competitive insight, and partner learnings with leadership every week.
What You Bring:
Your Background
- 3 to 5 years of quota-carrying sales, with at least part of it selling to or working inside automotive dealerships
- A record of meeting or beating quota that you can support with numbers
- Proof that you build your own pipeline: outbound, referrals, partners, or events, and how well each converted
- Comfort making outbound calls to dealership decision makers and doing it well, not just tolerating it
- Experience running a full cycle: prospecting, discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Comfort selling to owners and senior managers and building consensus across more than one decision maker
- Working knowledge of dealership hierarchy, sales and service operations, and what it takes to move a decision maker
- Strong phone and video presence: clear, concise, and professional without sounding scripted
- Disciplined CRM habits and honest forecasting
- Self-direction. You work every opportunity you create and you do not need outside motivation.
Preferred Experience
- B2B SaaS or technology sales into franchise dealerships or dealer groups
- Existing relationships or credibility with dealer groups, dealer associations, or automotive technology vendors
- Familiarity with dealer management systems, dealership CRMs, F&I or service lane software, or fleet and loaner management tools, and with how integration and partner programs work
- Subscription or recurring-revenue selling, including multi-rooftop or group deals
- Background in insurance, identity verification, fraud prevention, risk, or F&I products
- Experience at an early-stage company where the playbook was still being written
Why This Role Wins:
- You already know the customer. No learning curve on dealership culture, hierarchy, or workflow.
- You sell a painkiller: speed to sale, uninsured exposure, identity fraud, and customer experience are problems dealers feel every week.
- You build your own book. What you source and close is yours, and your earnings reflect it.
- You can make a name for yourself in the industry: platform partners, integrations, conferences, and trade shows are part of the job.
- You sell into both sides of the store, which opens more doors and more deals per dealership.
- You work remotely, with in-person travel where it counts.
- A dedicated Implementation team launches what you sell, and a verification team backs every result.
- Clear progression into senior Account Executive, strategic accounts, and sales leadership as the company scales.
- Early-stage environment where your performance is visible, your voice is heard, and your input shapes how we sell.
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- Uncapped commission tied directly to closed revenue
- Accelerators for overachievement. Strong months are rewarded.
- Health insurance with employer contribution and an employer HSA contribution
- Dental and vision plans with employer contribution
- Paid time off (15 days per year) and nine paid company holidays
Culture Fit
We want closers with integrity. People who show up prepared, stay coachable, compete daily, and take real pride in winning the hard way. We say what the product does and what it does not do. We do not carry passengers. We do not reward activity theater or inflated pipelines. We recognize and invest in people who produce.
If you have a few years of selling behind you, know the dealership world, and are ready to build your own book at a growing technology company, this is your seat at the table.
