Job summary

Competitive compensation ranges from $99,800 to $149,600, plus a performance-based bonus.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The National Account Executive (AE) will drive commercial success in our Core business channel through revenue growth, market share gain, and strong margin performance while ensuring great customer experiences throughout the customer journey. The AE will develop and implement a comprehensive strategic growth plan for each customer aligned with FMA’s overall strategic growth plan.

The AE will develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships across strategic key customer organizational structures that directly make / influence decisions, use our products or are involved with the integration of products, services, and overall solutions.

The AE will play a key and balanced role within the business as the customer and business advocate ensuring that the needs and priorities of both are achieved. This role will play a key leadership position on behalf of the customer while leading, facilitating, or participating in the initiatives that achieve positive outcomes for each.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead & set the direction and execution of all Account Management activities including revenue growth, maintenance of existing business (MOB) and project deployments.
  • Engage in Business Development activities that drive incremental growth with existing customers.
  • Execute on Strategic Initiatives within key accounts including new product launches, customer adoption of digital products and selling FMA as a total solution provider that includes hardware, digital / software, and service.
  • Develop and execute strategic account-based business plans.
  • Develop, lead, and facilitate cross functional teams that deliver excellent customer experiences throughout the customer journey. From product launches to phase-outs with Product Management, from project deployments to resolving customer escalations with Customer Solutions, from business development & strategi initiative to driving sales revenue, the Account Executive will play all positions (Offense & Defense).
  • Prioritize and conduct sales activities in parallel with meeting administrative responsibilities to ensure that both critical to customer and critical to business goals are achieved.
  • Be accountable for driving sales activity that meets or exceeds annual revenue goals.
  • Manage account specific tradeshows and partner with marketing to drive business growth.
  • Maintain accurate monthly demand forecast for portfolio of customers as part of overall business SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Plan) process.
  • Proactively manage and maintain sales pipeline and opportunity funnel while partnering with outside sales agencies (where applicable).
  • Successfully manage pricing negotiations, collect and assess market and competitive intelligence while providing strong internal and external communications both externally with customers and internally within the business.
  • Prioritize time to ensure overall business and individual objectives are achieved including account management, business development and strategic initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field, MBA Preferred.
  • Commercial experience: Must have at least 10 years of commercial and/or key account management experience with large national or global customers.
  • Specialized experience: Prefer 5-10 years of capital equipment, solution selling, aftermarket experience selling to range of customers from large enterprise to “mom & pop”. Architectural paint industry experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communications, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Team builder; strong communicator, facilitator, and motivator.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts while seeking new business development opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn systems.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and organic growth.
  • Ability and desire to work in face paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability and desire to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $99,800.00 - $149,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
