We are looking for a new Account Executive to manage parts of our Alabama and Tennessee territories. The role involves providing preK-12 schools and districts with student online learning software, teacher professional learning programs, and implementation services that help all students become proficient readers. The ideal candidate will:

  • Passionately embrace and exemplify Lexia’s mission and vision.
  • Initiate and develop meaningful relationships with high-level educational decision-makers.
  • Develop, manage, and execute a territory plan to achieve quota and strategic goals.

Location: The ideal candidate will reside in Alabama or Tennessee.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a geographical territory to meet sales goals by leading and implementing each step of a complex sales process.
  • Deliver presentations to key school and district stakeholders in person and via webinar, effectively communicating our pedagogy, research, features, benefits, and mission.
  • Identify and proactively engage high-potential accounts.
  • Develop professional proposals and communications to introduce Lexia to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic plans for medium to large districts.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information in CRM (Salesforce) and other tools.
  • Provide market feedback, maintain forecasts, and share competitive insights.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders through networking activities.
  • Prepare targeted campaigns to identify prospective customers.
  • Analyze territory data and market trends to refine strategies.
  • Operate collaboratively with customers and prospects to foster growth.
  • Travel: Travel up to 50% of the time, utilizing virtual tools to maintain productivity.
  • Work closely with sales leadership and teams to improve engagement methods.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of successful business development, sales, and account management experience in pre-K to 12 education preferred.
  • Experience with technology-based literacy/reading curriculum products preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Alabama and Tennessee K-12 education landscape and contacts.
  • Ability to identify client needs and propose solutions to close deals.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and managing opportunities in large districts.
  • Proficient in CRM (Salesforce), MS Office, Google Suites, and video conferencing tools.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both in person and virtual.
  • Ability to develop strategic relationships and collaborate on revenue goals.
  • Travel required: Up to 50% with overnight stays.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
