Job summary

Progress Learning, LLC is seeking an Account Executive to drive SaaS sales in a hybrid role based in our Plano, TX office. You will generate new business, build relationships with education leaders, and guide customers from initial outreach to close.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, comfortable with outbound prospecting, and capable of delivering compelling product demonstrations while maintaining a robust sales pipeline and meeting ambitious targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Proven inside sales, SaaS sales, or telesales experience, preferably within the education technology industry.
• Strong prospecting and follow-up skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with customers.
• Results-driven and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive with experience in SaaS sales who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and excels at building new relationships. This full-time, hybrid role is based in our Plano, TX office and is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships with education leaders, and guiding prospective customers through the sales process from initial outreach to close.

The Account Executive plays a key role in expanding Progress Learning’s impact by connecting educators with solutions that improve teaching and learning outcomes for students. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is proactive, comfortable with outbound prospecting, and accountable for building and managing their pipeline. They demonstrate persistence in follow-up, deliver compelling product demonstrations with confidence, and are motivated by achieving and exceeding sales goals.

Duties Include:

• Achieve sales targets by closing deals with new customers
• Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential leads through cold calling, emailing, and other lead generation activities
• Engage with decision-makers and key stakeholders in K-12 Schools to understand their needs, challenges, and goals
• Present and demonstrate Progress Learning solutions through virtual and in-person meetings and product demonstrations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers throughout the sales process
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans to drive pipeline growth and revenue
• Research and build contact lists within assigned territories
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in Salesforce
• Represent Progress Learning at conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and other events
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular updates on sales activity and forecasting
• Collaborate with internal teams to support company initiatives and execute overall business strategy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Behavior, or Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
• Proven inside sales, SaaS sales, or telesales experience, preferably within the education technology industry
• Strong prospecting and follow-up skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with customers
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor solutions to meet customer needs
• Results-driven and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
• A passion for education and a genuine interest in improving the learning experience for students and educators
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple leads and opportunities simultaneously
• Ability to conduct an engaging and effective demonstration
• Demonstrated ability to close deals and maintain a minimum 20% close rate
