Position OverviewThe Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing new business and maintaining strong relationships with apartment communities and multifamily property management companies. This position works directly with Property Managers, Leasing Agents, Maintenance Personnel, and other customer contacts to identify flooring needs, provide solutions, generate sales, and ensure a high level of customer service.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop new business opportunities with apartment communities and multifamily management companies.Maintain and grow relationships with established apartment community clients.Assist the Sales Manager with the coordination and management of large corporate and multifamily accounts.Interact daily with Property Managers, Leasing Agents, Maintenance Personnel, and other property-level contacts.Conduct frequent property visits to measure flooring requirements, evaluate project needs, and develop customer relationships.Prepare accurate flooring measurements, quotes, and proposals.Grow business organically by building trust, instilling confidence, and providing exceptional customer service.Identify additional sales opportunities within existing customer accounts and properties.Work closely with Customer Service, Installation, Operations, and other internal departments to ensure high service levels at individual properties.Review flooring orders for accuracy and completeness prior to submitting them to Customer Service.Assist with quality control and resolution of customer or project-related issues.Follow up on quotes, orders, installations, and customer requests in a timely manner.Attend local apartment association meetings, trade exhibitions, networking events, and other industry functions to represent the company and develop business relationships.Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records within company systems.Maintain a strong working knowledge of the company's flooring products, services, and processes.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Key ExpectationsDevelop and maintain strong customer relationships.Generate new business while growing existing accounts.Maintain consistent property-level activity and customer contact.Provide accurate measurements, quotes, and orders.Deliver exceptional customer service from initial contact through installation.Represent the company professionally within the multifamily housing and flooring industries.QualificationsPrevious sales, account management, customer service, or related experience preferred.Experience in the multifamily apartment industry preferred.Flooring industry experience preferred.Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts and priorities.Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.Ability to develop relationships with Property Managers, Leasing Agents, Maintenance Personnel, and other industry contacts.Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly to customer and property locations.
