The Loan Officer is responsible for originating and closing residential and commercial real estate loans by developing relationships with mortgage brokers, real estate investors, financial institutions, and referral partners. This role focuses on generating new lending opportunities, managing an active pipeline of borrowers, and guiding transactions from initial inquiry through closing. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in private lending industry, a proven track record in loan origination, and the ability to cultivate and grow a strong book of business.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate new loan opportunities through business development, networking, referrals, and relationship-building activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with mortgage brokers, real estate investors, financial institutions, developers, and other referral partners.
• Build, manage, and grow a personal pipeline of prospective borrowers and lending opportunities.
• Evaluate financing requests and structure loan solutions that meet borrower needs and company lending guidelines.
• Guide borrowers through the loan origination process.
• Present and explain loan products, terms, and lending solutions (Bridge Loans, Fix & Flip, DSCR, and Ground-Up Construction loans).
• Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure efficient execution of loan transactions.
• Negotiate loan terms and facilitate successful closings while delivering an exceptional borrower experience.
• Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, borrower records, and CRM documentation.
• Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and real estate investment forums to generate new business opportunities.
• Stay informed on market trends, lending products, and industry developments to identify opportunities for portfolio growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience with Bridge, Fix & Flip, DSCR, and Ground-Up Construction loan products.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Private Lending for Real Estate Investments.
• Strong understanding of loan origination and underwriting processes.
• Established book of business specializing in RTL (Residential Transition Loans) or DSCR (Debt-Service Coverage Ratio) loans.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple client accounts effectively.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Remote work model with flexibility in scheduling.
• Frequent travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
