Job summary

Chicago Tube & Iron in Illinois is seeking an Account Coordinator to support existing customers, process quotes and orders, and help grow new business. You will work closely with Account Representatives, gain hands-on experience in purchasing and sales support, and learn the steel industry from an experienced team.

Qualifications

• College education in business or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A customer-focused mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming customer calls and assist with account needs.
• Prepare and process customer quotes through our ERP system.
• Convert approved quotes into customer orders.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding quotations.
• Identify and source buy-out materials through appropriate vendors.
• Enter purchase orders and coordinate with vendors.
• Process Laser and Owatonna quote requests and orders.
• Prepare Material Return Authorizations when needed.
• Communicate regularly with Account Managers regarding customer accounts, orders, and opportunities.
• Participate in monthly sales training meetings.
• Assist with additional sales and customer service responsibilities as needed.
