Hooker Furnishings Corporation seeks an H Contract Account Coordinator in Martinsville, VA to handle detailed customer orders and provide outstanding service to key clients. You will collaborate with sales reps, manage order processing, and respond quickly to inquiries in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, timely communication, and proactive problem-solving across a nationwide customer base in the residential, hospitality, and contract markets.

Qualifications

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and customer communications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent time management to handle multiple customer accounts and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word) and basic ERP usage.
• Experience with D365 or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Experience in furniture industry is a bonus, not required.

Responsabilités

• Develop positive relationships with key customers and sales reps to ensure high satisfaction.
• Manage daily processing of all incoming orders for assigned customers.
• Update and administer order modifications or special requests as needed.
• Respond promptly to phone calls and emails from sales reps and customers.
• Ensure timely responses to inquiries (within 24 hours) and follow up until resolution.
• Proactively communicate with customers and sales reps to resolve issues and delays.
• Keep customers updated on fabrics, parts, and production delays; track COMs for on-time delivery.
• Identify risk factors and recommend continuous improvement actions.

The Company:

H Contract, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation, is currently recruiting an H Contract Account Coordinator to work in our Martinsville, VA office. With over 100 years in business, Hooker Furnishings Corporation is a designer, marketer, and importer of case goods (wood and metal furniture), leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality, and contract markets.

The Position:

We are looking for a detailed orientated candidate with excellent organization and customer service skills to join our team. This customer-focused administrative professional will ideally have previous experience with delivering a high level of service in a fast-paced environment.

• Develop positive relationships and gain in-depth understanding of assigned key customers and sales representatives to ensure that we exceed expectations and achieve the highest level of satisfaction possible
• Manage daily processing of all incoming orders for assigned customers
• Update and administer any order modifications or special requests as needed
• Promptly and professionally respond to incoming phone calls and e-mails from sales reps and customers
• Ensure timely responses to inquiries (24 hours or less is the goal), even if additional information is needed. Provide daily follow-up until the issue is fully resolved.
• Proactively communicate with assigned customers(s) and sales reps to follow up on outstanding issues to ensure satisfactory resolution. Consult with appropriate internal team as-needed.
• Proactively keep customers up to date on fabric, parts, and production delays. Follow up on COM tracking from customers for expedited delivery to keep order on time as per current lead times.
• Take appropriate actions to mitigate risk factors related to assigned customers and proactively make recommendations for continuous improvement
