Account Consultant - Remote Opportunity - Flood Experience Required

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To manage a claim caseload of basic to highly complex claims within granted authority level, including related financial implications, and to mentor Account Representatives and Account Specialists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilizes special account instructions to obtain customer information and adhere to instructions; coordinates specialized services such as subrogation, fraud evaluation, or case management review to resolve claims.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external customers and coworkers; communicates effectively and timely.
  • Mentors and coaches account representatives and specialists; facilitates team discussions.
  • Investigates, evaluates, and resolves claims; identifies problems/trends and takes corrective actions; interprets medical reports and jurisdictional law.
  • Assesses indemnity, medical, and expense exposure; interprets insurance coverage.
  • Reviews client files and collaborates with the team to analyze strategies, claims status, and trends.
  • Manages litigation proactively; works with legal representatives to resolve claims.
  • Ensures compliance and minimizes financial liability; manages documentation and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Monitors reports, documents compliance, and assists with claim transfers and projects.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality programs.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjuster licenses required.

Experience: Six (6) years of related experience and/or training or equivalent.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Legal and jurisdictional knowledge relevant to the line of business.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
  • Organizational skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work in a team and meet performance standards.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting pay range for this role in the specified jurisdiction is ($66,000 - $86,000 USD annually). A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, disability, life insurance, and more.
